AfterFast, Reliable Window Installation Across Aventura
If you own a condo or home in Aventura, you already know the window question isn’t just about looks. It’s about wind ratings, product approvals, and whether the unit you order will actually pass inspection in Florida’s High-Velocity Hurricane Zone. Meridian Windows & Doors handles that entire process for you. We spec the right window for each opening, match it to the correct Miami-Dade NOA or Florida Product Approval, pull permits, and install it clean. Call (817) 686-2228 and we’ll scope the job from the first visit.
Why Meridian Windows & Doors Is Aventura’s Preferred Window Installation Company
We’re the windows-and-doors specialist inside the Garrison Partners network, operating to The Garrison Standard since 2009. Elliott Vance leads our team, and every Aventura job runs through him. That means the price goes on paper before any work starts, the crew shows up uniformed and background-checked, and the install is covered by our written 365-Day Done Right Promise. If something fails within that year, we come back at no charge. No fine print about labor exclusions.
Our Window Installation team does not run a voicemail loop. A live person answers the phone around the clock, every day of the year. When you call about a window in Aventura, you talk to someone who knows the local wind-zone requirements, not a dispatcher reading a script three time zones away.
Window Installers in Aventura
Window installers in Aventura do a different job than installers in most of the country. Every opening has to be matched to a Miami-Dade NOA or Florida Product Approval that covers the exact design pressure for that specific window. That step gets skipped by the cheap crews, and it’s the number one reason Aventura inspections fail. We check product approvals before we order a single unit. A standard single-window replacement in Aventura runs roughly $800 to $1,500 installed, depending on size and wind rating. Whole-home packages start around $8,000 and can exceed $25,000 for larger custom openings.
Scoped Before You Spend
We measure every opening and pull the approval documentation before the order goes in. The written quote includes the window, the install, the permit, and the inspection. The price does not move at the door.
Crew Discipline
Our technicians are background-checked and uniformed. They park where the building says to park, work inside HOA hours, and clean the sill caulk before they leave. The Garrison Code governs what we will and will not do on a job site, and every Aventura customer gets that in writing.
Casement Windows in Aventura
Casement windows in Aventura are a practical upgrade for two reasons. They seal tighter than sliding or single-hung units, which matters in wind-driven rain, and they open full-crank for better cross-ventilation in the humid months. We replaced a full run of original single-pane aluminum sliders and double-hung units in a 1980s condo along NE 188th Street near the Aventura Mall. The owner wanted quieter bedrooms, so we spec’d PGT impact-rated casement windows with laminated glass interlayer and low-E glass, matched each opening to the correct design pressure, and pulled the product approvals before ordering. The inspection passed on the first walk, and the unit now meets the wind-mitigation criteria her insurer credits.
Crank Hardware That Lasts
Salt air eats cheap casement hardware. We install units from PGT and CGI with corrosion-resistant operators and stainless hinges, chosen for Aventura’s coastal exposure.
Sealing Performance
A properly installed casement compresses its gasket on all four sides when closed. That’s a real difference in a high-rise unit off Williams Island, where wind pressures run higher than a ground-floor home.
Trusted Brands We Service in Aventura
We’re authorized to install and replace products from PGT, CGI, CWS, ES Windows, ECO Window Systems, Mr-Glass, Therma-Tru, and ViewLux. That’s eight manufacturer lines, so the window we spec is the one that fits your opening and wind zone, not whichever unit happens to be sitting in a warehouse. For Aventura customers we commonly work with PGT, CGI, and ES Windows because their Miami-Dade NOA coverage is strongest across the configurations we see in Turnberry and the high-rises along Biscayne Boulevard. Parts, service, and warranty support are handled through our team, so if something goes wrong, you’re not chasing a manufacturer’s 800 number.
Common Window Installation Problems We See in Aventura Homes
- Product approval mismatch. A window that’s legal in Broward may not carry an NOA for the wind pressures in Aventura. We verify the design pressure for each opening before ordering, because catching it after the fact means re-ordering and a four-to-six-week delay.
- Condo board conflicts. Many Aventura buildings restrict exterior frame color, mullion profiles, and install hours. We review board requirements before the scope is final, so the work doesn’t stall mid-project.
- Ignoring SHGC on east and west exposures. Condos facing the Intracoastal or the golf course take direct afternoon sun. Without low-E glass rated for the correct solar heat gain coefficient, the cooling-cost savings and the wind-mitigation credit both shrink.
- Original single-pane frames in 1980s stock. Buildings from that era, especially around NE 188th Street and the older sections of Turnberry, often have corroded aluminum frames. We inspect the opening, not just the sash, before quoting.
Pricing for Window Installation in Aventura, FL
Impact windows in Aventura generally run $800 to $1,500 per window installed. Impact single-hung units land between $900 and $1,800. Large or custom openings, like a full-width bay off a corner unit, sit in the $2,500 to $5,000 range. Whole-home packages start around $8,000 and climb past $25,000 when you’re dealing with tall floors, crane access, or custom mullion work.
What moves the number is opening count, floor height (upper-floor installs in high-rises cost more to access), frame material, and the design pressure rating the opening requires. A meridian is a fixed line you measure everything against; the quote we hand you is exactly that. Written, line-itemed, and fixed before a single screw turns. What Window Installation Costs in Aventura
Impact windows: $800 to $1,500 per window installed. Impact single-hung: $900 to $1,800. Large or custom openings: $2,500 to $5,000. Whole-home packages: $8,000 to $25,000-plus. Aventura sits inside Florida’s High-Velocity Hurricane Zone, so every replacement, even on a low-rise condo near the Aventura Mall or a Turnberry townhome, needs a Miami-Dade NOA or Florida Product Approval listing that matches the exact design pressure for the opening, not just a general HVHZ stamp. That product-approval matching step is what most delays Aventura jobs, because a window that’s legal in Broward may not carry an approval for the wind pressures here. Design pressure is a PSF rating and never exceeds +/-100 on our installs. Wind speeds of 140 to 170 mph are wind zone figures, not design pressures.
We factor approval documentation, permit fees, structural fastening, and finish trim into the written quote. You’ll know the full cost before the order goes in. The free in-home measure and written quote are how every Aventura job starts.
Florida Pays You Back
Florida currently offers a stack of incentives that make impact windows more affordable for Aventura homeowners. My Safe Florida Home provides matching grants up to $10,000 for qualifying wind-mitigation upgrades. There’s a sales-tax exemption on impact-resistant windows and doors. The federal 25C energy credit covers 30% of product cost, up to $600 per year on qualifying units. And after a wind-mitigation inspection ($75 to $150), many Aventura policyholders see windstorm-premium credits averaging around 25% on the windstorm portion of their policy. We don’t set the program rules or the carrier numbers, but we do install to the standards those credits are measured against.
One comparison worth making: impact windows versus hurricane shutters. Shutters have to be hung before every storm, stored the rest of the year, and they do nothing for energy efficiency or noise. Impact windows are permanent protection with no panels to deploy. We sell and install impact windows. We don’t sell or install shutters. That comparison is for your decision, not our product line.

FAQs About Window Installation in Aventura
Yes. Window replacement in Aventura requires a permit, and the finished install has to pass an inspection. We pull the permit and schedule the inspection as part of the job. The window must carry a Miami-Dade NOA or Florida Product Approval that matches the design pressure for the specific opening. Call (817) 686-2228 and we’ll walk you through what applies to your unit.
Once your units arrive, most installations are completed in as fast as a single day. The lead time is the variable. Custom fabrication runs four to six weeks from order to delivery. Standard stock units move faster. We give you a written timeline when we quote, and the date doesn’t drift once the window is on the truck.
Nothing, if the scope is correct. The price goes on paper before any work starts, and it does not move at the door. The only thing that changes a written quote is a change you request: a different window, a different opening count, or a newly discovered structural issue behind the old frame. If we find something, we stop and show you before any additional work proceeds. That’s The Garrison Code applied to money.
They often do. After a wind-mitigation inspection, many Aventura policies see windstorm-premium credits averaging around 25% on the windstorm portion. The inspection runs $75 to $150 and verifies the window’s design pressure rating, product approval, and installation. We install to the standard those credits require. Call (817) 686-2228 for an exact quote on your openings.
We strongly advise against it. Window installation in the HVHZ involves structural fastening, flashing, and sealant detailing that has to meet code. A window that isn’t anchored to the correct design pressure can fail during a storm, and an unpermitted install can void your insurance coverage and create liability when you sell. Wrong product approval means a failed inspection and a re-order. Hire a licensed installer who does this work in Aventura every week.
