Training & Ongoing Support
You don’t need a background in windows and doors to run a Meridian location well. You need to follow a system that works, and we teach you that system from day one. The Garrison Standard has been refined since 2009, and every procedure, script, and spec sheet already exists. Our job during training is to hand it to you in order, one step at a time, until it becomes second nature. Bring your work ethic. We’ll supply everything else.
Initial Training
Training starts well before your first truck rolls. Week one is about operations: how we schedule, how we order, how we price, and how we communicate with homeowners from first call to final walkthrough. You’ll learn the dispatch flow, the paperwork sequence, and the 365-Day Done Right Promise language that goes into every written quote.
Weeks two and three move into the trade itself. You’ll learn window and door terminology, how to measure openings correctly, how to spot framing issues before they become change orders, and how to spec the right product from our eight manufacturer lines: PGT, CGI, CWS, ES Windows, ECO Window Systems, Mr-Glass, Therma-Tru, and ViewLux. You won’t become a master installer in three weeks, but you’ll learn enough to run crews, inspect work, and catch problems before a homeowner ever sees them.
The final stretch covers software, hiring, and local marketing. You’ll train on our CRM, our estimating tools, and our reporting dashboard. We walk you through how to hire background-checked, uniformed technicians who fit the Garrison culture. You’ll build your first 90-day marketing calendar before you leave training, so you’re not staring at a blank page when you get home.
Launch Support
Opening day is not a solo effort. The franchise support team works with you on local marketing setup before you take your first call. We help you claim and build local listings, set up your service area, and launch your initial advertising. The lead engine is configured to route calls directly to your live-person phone line, because a missed call in this business is a lost job.
Your first five to ten jobs get extra attention. A field coach reviews each quote before it goes to the homeowner, checks each job file after completion, and sits on a debrief call with you weekly. If you’re pricing a retrofit wrong or a crew is cutting corners on cleanup, you’ll hear about it immediately. The goal is to catch small mistakes early, before they become habits. By job ten, most owners tell us the rhythm feels natural.
Ongoing Support
Support doesn’t end after launch. It’s a standing part of the relationship.
- Field coaching: Regular ride-alongs and job reviews. A second set of eyes on your installs, your quotes, and your crew performance.
- Marketing support: Ongoing help with local campaigns, seasonal promotions, and lead generation. You’ll never be left to figure out Google or direct mail alone.
- Vendor relationships: National agreements with PGT, CGI, CWS, ES Windows, ECO Window Systems, Mr-Glass, Therma-Tru, and ViewLux, negotiated at scale so you get pricing and availability that independents can’t easily match.
- Technology updates: Software improvements, new estimating tools, and reporting features rolled out as they’re developed. You run the business. We keep the tools current.
- National brand campaigns: Brand awareness work done at the parent level that lifts every location. You benefit from the Meridian name without funding it alone.
- Peer network: Other Meridian owners who share what’s working in their markets. Direct access to operators who’ve solved the same problems you’re facing.
