Window and door installation is skilled work. You measure twice, cut once, and at the end of the day you can stand in front of what you built and see exactly how well you did. At Meridian Windows & Doors, we’ve run jobs that way since 2009 – written prices, clean sites, a full year of written guarantee behind every install. The crew that shows up is the crew the homeowner was told to expect: background-checked, uniformed, and squared away. If that’s the kind of work environment you want to be part of, keep reading.
Who We’re Looking For
- Window Installation Technician – Someone who reads a rough opening accurately, sequences a install without cutting corners, and leaves the trim line clean.
- Patio Door Installer – A person who understands thresholds, proper sill flashing, and why a door that drags in year two is a failure in year one.
- Apprentice Installer – The person who shows up on time, asks good questions, handles the carry and the cleanup, and wants to run their own jobs within a couple of years.
- Field Estimator / Sales Technician – Someone who can measure accurately, explain eight manufacturer lines in plain language, and put a written price in front of a homeowner without flinching.
- Dispatcher / Scheduling Coordinator – The person who keeps four crews moving, manages the calendar, and makes sure the job window we gave the homeowner is the one we hit.
- Customer Service Representative – Someone who picks up the phone and actually helps – no scripts, no transfers, no next-business-day callbacks. We staff live coverage around the clock, and the people doing it need to know the work.
What We Offer
A Real Path, Not Just a Job
Apprentices who join Meridian learn the full installation process – from reading rough openings to shimming a patio door frame to final weatherstrip adjustment – on real jobs, alongside experienced lead installers. The path from apprentice to lead tech is clearly defined, and the people who move up fastest are the ones who paid attention from day one, not the ones who already knew everything.
Work You Can Actually Be Proud Of
Every job at Meridian runs on The Garrison Standard: written price before work starts, the job done by the book the first time, and the site left clean. That means you’re never being asked to rush a questionable install or hand a homeowner a number that changed at the door. Clean work is the expectation, not the exception, and that makes a difference at the end of a long day.
National Resources, Local Crew
Meridian is part of the Garrison Partners family, which means access to eight manufacturer lines – PGT, CGI, CWS, ES Windows, ECO Window Systems, Mr-Glass, Therma-Tru, and ViewLux – plus the training and operational backing that comes with a national brand. But you’re working with a local crew, not rotating through a call center. The people you work with are the people you work with, week in, week out.
Steady, Meaningful Demand
Window replacement and patio door installation aren’t seasonal hobbies – they’re consistent, necessary work driven by aging housing stock, energy costs, and homeowners who want a quieter, better-lit home. Meridian’s model is built around scheduled, planned jobs with written scopes – not emergency call-outs at midnight. The work is steady, and the pipeline reflects that.
No Experience? Read This.
If you’ve worked in general construction, cabinet installation, trim carpentry, or any trade that required you to measure precisely and handle materials carefully, you already know more than you think. Reading a level, understanding how a frame behaves when it settles, knowing why caulk sequence matters – that’s not nothing. We teach the product-specific side: how each manufacturer line goes in, what the tolerances are, what the 365-Day Done Right Promise means for your work on the job. The first few months are structured: you’ll be alongside a lead installer, not running jobs solo until you’re ready. What we can’t teach is showing up consistently, paying attention, and caring whether the trim line is straight. If you bring those, we’ll build the rest.
